KCLS: Renton Library Resource Days Fri, May 17, 2024 11:00AM – 2:00PM Renton

For community members in need of support. Local social support providers will help connect you to resources such as healthcare, addiction recovery, free job training, access to ORCA cards, a free phone, gently used clothes, hygiene kits and free lunches (while supplies last). Virtual Resource Center every Thursday from 12:30-1:30 p.m.

The Virtual Resource Center (VRC) is a free way for people to access resources and meet with regional providers online to assist with services and benefits. Supports include behavioral health clinics, furthering education programs, employment support, free or discounted bus tickets, basic needs or financial assistance, case management, youth or senior-specific services, Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS), Public Health and more.

Have computer or software questions? A tech volunteer can provide basic level help to you. You may bring your own laptop, but tech tutors cannot provide hands-on or hardware assistance.  Registration not required.

Have computer or software questions?  A tech savvy volunteer can provide one-on-one help for Windows, Mac, Android and iOS.  Bring your smart phone, iPad or laptop and your questions. The tech tutor cannot provide hardware assistance.  Drop-in!

How does the Check Out Washington Discover Pass work? The pass checks out for 14 days and may be used on lands managed by: Washington State Parks, Washington State Department of Natural Resources, and Washington Department of Fish & Wildlife. KCLS: Virtual Community Resource Center

ALL ARE WELCOME! Looking for help but don’t know where to go? You can connect with the services you need at King County's Virtual Resource Center (VRC). This service is available online or by phone during open hours. Service providers are present to guide you to the support you need.

The King County Library System Financial Assistance Navigation Service

helps point King County residents to the financial assistance programs they need—such as business loans, unemployment claims, and rent assistance. Residents looking for guidance may visit the website to complete an online form detailing their small business and/or personal financial needs. They’ll receive personalized financial information and referrals from library staff members.  Those without a computer or Internet access may call 800-462-9600 for assistance.

CISC: International Resource Center Issaquah Library Mondays 10am - 2pm

CISC’s International Family Resource Centers in Seattle and South & East King County are places for families to go for connection, friendships, skill building, and family support services including advocacy, information & assistance, cultural activities, parent education, and more.

South & East King County Cultural Navigator Program:

designed to ensure that all members of the community can get help for their family. The CNP offers free, confidential navigation and information assistance to individuals and families who have limited English language skills. This program serves people living in East King County by helping them to navigate systems, find resources, learn about programs, and connect to their community. The no-cost-to-clients program is funded through partners including the cities of Bellevue, Bothell, Issaquah, Redmond, and Sammamish and CISC. Issaquah Litter Clean-up Events

 All are welcome to join this grassroots community litter clean up program. Once a month, volunteers gather with their supplies to remove litter from downtown Issaquah. Meet at the Post Office parking lot on NW Gilman Blvd. Rain or Shine! Coffee and snacks provided! Use your own gloves and trash bags. Team up with a friend; select an area to work; then move out. Dispose of litter in municipal trash bins/dumpsters.  Don’t leave it. Use common sense and be safe.
